Autism Spectrum Disorder: Addressing Needs,Supporting Outcomes, Developing Skills *ONLINE*

This engaging and interactive professional development session will guide participants through a comprehensive exploration of what it means to support students with autism in today's inclusive schools. Drawing on current research and field-tested interventions, we will focus on three core areas: -understanding and addressing challenging behaviors, -supporting social-emotional development, and -tailoring academic instruction to meet individual learning profiles. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, this workshop emphasizes the importance of understanding the individual with autism spectrum disorder, acknowledging that every student with ASD is different and that effective support must be both structured and flexible. Participants will explore real-world case examples, engage in collaborative problem-solving, and leave with practical strategies that can be implemented immediately in classrooms and support settings. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1-1/2 Consortium seats. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
